Key Message:

US guided vascular access demands a high level of hand-eye coordination to dexterously handle the probe on one hand and needle on the other whilst having the eyes focusing on the monitor.

Real-time US guidance of the needle requires one to visualize the needle tip throughout the entire procedure and, also, ensuring one is visualizing the needle tip and not the needle body.
